AUSTIN, Texas -- Without question, this would be the biggest upset in University of Wyoming football history.

Texas, the darlings of the college landscape (outside of Boulder, Colo.), knocked off the mighty Crimson Tide 34-24 last Saturday night in Tuscaloosa to vault to No. 4 in the national polls. That was Alabama's first non-conference loss in 20 seasons. The first of Nick Saban's tenure.

Think about that for a second.

Let's not forget the Cowboys also come into this highly-anticipated matchup with a perfect 2-0 record. It was Craig Bohl's team that made headlines after a Week-1 win over Texas Tech, a team that squeaked past the Longhorns 37-34 in overtime last fall in Lubbock.

What does that mean?

Not one thing.

Cody Tucker and Jared Newland take a quick look back at the Pokes' less-than-impressive -- at times -- 31-17 victory over Portland State last Saturday inside War Memorial Stadium. Live from Austin, we breakdown the tall task that awaits in the Lone Star State.

University of Wyoming’s Top 50 Football Players

During the summer of 2021, 7220Sports.com counted down the Top 50 football players in University of Wyoming history, presented by Premier Bone & Joint Centers, Worthy of Wyoming.

The rules are simple: What was the player's impact while in Laramie? That means NFL stats, draft status or any other accolade earned outside of UW is irrelevant when it comes to this list.

This isn't a one-man job. This task called for a panel of experts. Joining 7220's Cody Tucker are Robert GagliardiJared NewlandRyan Thorburn, and Kevin McKinney.

We all compiled our own list of 50 and let computer averages do the work. Think BCS -- only we hope this catalog is fairer.
