BOISE, Idaho — In this new series we will examine a few numbers that stand out from the game we just witnessed. That was a 20-17 overtime loss to Boise State Saturday night at Albertsons Stadium.

Sometimes they won’t be fun ones. Other times, you will be downright giddy.

So, let’s get started.

For the third consecutive week, Wyoming running back Xazavian Valladay eclipsed the 100-yard rushing mark. Saturday, he finished with 124 yards on a career-high 37 carries. He now has 631 yards on the season.

That's how many turnovers the Cowboys committed against Boise State. Despite winning the takeaway battle 2-0, Wyoming fell in overtime.

Logan Wilson now has this many interceptions in his Wyoming career. Wilson, a Casper product, was named a semifinalist for the Butkus Award last week, which is given to the nation's best linebacker. Tonight, he finished with a team-high 10 tackles, a sack and a tackle for loss.

Wilson is now fourth all-time in school history with 388 tackles, passing former Cowboy safety, John Salley. He's now sixth in tackling in the history of the Mountain West Conference, too.

Wyoming is now 8-8 all time in overtime games. They are 4-6 overall on the road in those contests. The last time the Cowboys played an extra period was in 2017 against Hawaii.

That's how many passes fifth-year senior Josh Harshman snagged from Tyler Vander Waal tonight. It is the most in Harshman's career in Laramie.

Wyoming has 15 takeaways through its first nine games. Tonight, they were a plus-2 in that category. Javaree Jackson forced and recovered a fumble, and Logan Wilson picked off a Chase Cord pass late in the fourth. Wyoming has scored 55 points off those turnovers.

Cooper Rothe nailed a 39-yard field goal in the second quarter to give the Cowboys a 10-7 lead at the half. That was the 55th of his career, leaving him just two shy of Sean Fleming's school record.

That's how many fans crammed into Albertsons Stadium on a cool fall Saturday night in Boise. The capacity is 36,000-plus

Wyoming has never beaten Boise State in this building in seven tries. The Cowboys did beat Central Michigan here in the 2017 Potato Bowl.

Boise State has a commanding lead in this series overall. The Broncos have now won 13-of-14 meetings between the two schools.
