LARAMIE -- The Wyoming Cowboys are preparing for a bowl game. National signing day is just two days away, too.

Wyoming head coach Craig Bohl was in no mood to welcome Colorado State's new head football coach, Steve Addazio, to the Mountain West Conference Monday during his weekly press conference.

After all, he's a busy man.

"Colorado State is obviously our rival," Bohl said. "I don't know coach Addazio, but he has a good reputation. We are in the midst of getting ready for a big bowl game. I'll leave it at that."

Bohl might not have wanted to chat about his newest rival, but Addazio had plenty to say about the Cowboys in just four words -- "that team up north."

“I think I’m going to take a page out of Urban (Meyer’s) book and I’m not even going to mention the name,” Addazio said at his introductory news conference at Canvas Stadium in Fort Collins. “We’ll just to refer to (them) as ‘That Team Up North.’ I’ll make that reference."

Addazio also made sure to bring up the fact that his Temple team outlasted the Pokes, 35-17, in the 2011 New Mexico Bowl.

“I understand the importance level of those rivalries,” Addazio said referring to Wyoming, Colorado and Air Force. CSU has lost 12 rivalry games in a row to that trio of Front Range rivals.

Wyoming has topped the Rams four seasons in a row, including a 17-7 victory in Laramie Nov. 22.

Addazio signed a five-year deal worth an annual salary of $1.5 million in the 2020 season.

“We’re going to get that boot and bring it back here,” Addazio said.

Bohl's response: "No comment."
