BOISE, Idaho -- Dr. Marlene Tromp, the first female president in Boise State history, is all in on the Broncos this Saturday night against Wyoming.

Why would that be weird you might be asking?

Have a look for yourself:

Yes, Tromp went to the University of Wyoming. She also grew up in the Cowboy State. Green River to be exact. She might have some explaining to do at Thanksgiving dinner, huh?

WHO WENT THERE?
Apparently BSU is quite the breeding ground for professional wrestlers. Torrie Wilson and Orlando Jordan spent their college days in Boise. Movie director, Michael Hoffman, was a student there, too. He directed "A midsummer night's dream," "The Emperor's Club" and "Promised land."

You'll have to tell me if any of those are good.

Gary L. Bennett is another distinguished alum. He was a manager at NASA. He was on the Voyager 1, Voyager 2 and New Horizons missions. Earl Boen is another one you might remember. He plays a doctor in "The Terminator" movies. He was also a doctor in Naked Gun 33 1/3. Boen was on the hit show "MASH" and "Three's Company," among many, many other television shows and movies:

Now for the standouts who wore the blue and orange of the Broncos. Boise State has been a powerhouse on the football field for more than a decade. They have the NFL players to prove it, too.

Ryan Clady, Doug Martin, Orlando Scandrick, Kellen Moore, Chris Carr, Austin Pettis, Leighton Vander Esch, DeMarcus Lawrence and Brett Rypien are just a few examples. According to ESPN, the network that is broadcasting Saturday night's showdown, there are 16 former Broncos currently in the NFL.
