COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo., -- Welcome to rivalry week.

Yes, Wyoming and Air Force are rivals. But I don't need to tell you that.

The schools are less than 200 miles apart. The all-time series is 28-26-3 in favor of the Falcons. There have been big games with conference title hopes on the line. There's been plenty of big names and moments.

It's Wyoming vs. Colorado.

If Wyoming wins today, that will be four in a row for the Cowboys. That has never happened in the history of this game.

Last season, Tyler Vander Waal was the hero, leading the Pokes to three straight touchdown drives in the final 4:32 to give Wyoming the 35-27 come-from-behind victory inside a snowy War Memorial Stadium.

The sophomore should be under center to start this one, too.

There won't be a league championship berth on the line today, but this one still has plenty at stake. Air Force is looking for its first 10-win season since 2016. The Cowboys are looking for their eighth victory of 2019. That will more than solidify a bowl invite.

If Wyoming were to pull off the upset, this senior class would be the first in program history to sweep Colorado State and Air Force all four years. That means a lot to Logan Wilson, Cooper Rothe, Cassh Maluia and the other 11 seniors who will be a part of this last regular-season contest.

Who went there?

Air Force is full of smart kids. Who knew?

The Academy can boast 41 Rhodes Scholars, a Medal of Honor recipient and 39 astronauts. Believe it or not, some pretty big names in the sports world have also spent their college years in Colorado Springs.

Gregg Popovich
Chad Hennings
Dee Dowis
Beau Morgan
Ben Garland

Remember, these guys typically must start their military career out of school. Most don't go to Air Force with the goal of playing professional sports in mind.
