LARAMIE -- Wyoming continues to replenish its basketball roster, adding a second guard over the last four days via the NCAA Transfer Portal.

Tyree Ihenacho, who spent last season at the University of North Dakota, will ink on the dotted line, joining Obi Agbim, who committed to Jeff Linder's program last Thursday.

Both have just one year of eligibility remaining.

Ihenacho, a 6-foot-4, 190-pound junior, averaged 14.5 points per game last season, to go along with five rebounds and nearly four assists. Starting 19-of-21 games played, the Prior Lake, Minn., product connected on 40.1% of his shots from the field, including 28.8 from beyond the arc.

That production landed him Second Team All Summit League honors.

It's been a wild collegiate ride for Ihenacho, who started his career in Grand Forks back in 2020 before transferring to James Madison where he spent the next two seasons. During that stint in Harrisonburg, Va., Ihenacho averaged just under 24 minutes a night. He averaged less than four points per game.

He again would end up in the portal. He again would land at UND.

Ihenacho landed in double figures 14 times last season while helping lead the Fighting Hawks to an 18-14 overall record, including a 10-6 mark in the Summit League. His best statistical outing came at home against Oral Roberts. That night he netted 22 and pulled down 11 rebounds. He added three assists and a steal.

Ihenacho scored more than 20 points in a game seven times and averaged 18 points a night over a seven-game span in January through early February.

According to Hoop Scoop Media, Ihenacho had heard from George Washington, UTEP, Georgia State, St. Thomas, UNC Wilmington and Northern Illinois before committing to the Cowboys.
