Cowboy Classics: We will never forget

LARAMIE -- On Sept. 16, 2001, eight young lives were taken way too soon.

They were stolen from families, the University of Wyoming and our state as a whole.

We won't try to put this tragic event into words, instead, I encourage you to read this feature in Sports Illustrated after the incident took place.

Chad Blakely, our 7220sports cartoonist, wanted to make this illustration stand on it's own. No words. No description.

He wanted to be respectful to the families, as did we all. We hope we accomplished that.
