LARAMIE -- The Wyoming Cowgirls ran their winning streak to three matches in a row Thursday night as the Cowgirls picked up a straight-sets sweep over Air Force in Laramie, winning 25-19, 28-26 and 25-18.

Wyoming (11-8, 3-4 MW) was strong at the service line on the night, making a big difference in the match as the Cowgirls got six service aces, while committing just four errors. Air Force (4-13, 1-6 MW) meanwhile, tallied just one ace and had 11 serving errors on the night. The Cowgirls also had a 9-5 advantage in team blocks, while also hitting .245 to AFA’s .191.

Hailey Zuroske led the Cowgirl offense with 12 kills in the match, Zuroske, along with Erika Jones, both tallied three aces in the win. Jones led the way with a match-high 19 digs and also added five assists against the Falcons.

Naya Shimé had nine kills on the night and Jackie McBride and KC McMahon added eight and seven, respectively. McBride is now just 11 kills shy off 1,000 for her career. McBride also led the way with a match-high five total blocks.

Abby Olsen had a solid overall performance from her setter spot against Air Force. Olsen notched 25 assists to go along with a pair of kills, six digs and a blocking assist.

The Cowgirls were in control of the match for much of the first and third sets, trailing early on in the frames, before going on solid runs to take control of the sets. In the second, the Cowgirls showed great fight as they faced set point at 25-24.

UW will look to make it four wins in-a-row Saturday as first-place New Mexico comes to town for a 6:30 p.m., matchup.
