The Cowgirls, who have already faced MSU this season, a 5-2 victory back in late October, have won eight consecutive matches dating back to last season. The eight-match winning streak is the third-longest streak in program history.

In that October match, the Cowgirls secured the victory thanks to four singles-match wins and sweeping doubles play to earn the doubles’ point.

Noesjka Brink, Mihaela Kaftanova, Ida Krause and Sophie Zehender all picked up singles wins against the Bobcats. On the doubles side of things, the tandems of Krause and Maria Oreshkina, Ana Fernandez and Zehender and Brink and Kaftanova all were victorious.

Last season at the Hurricane Invite, the Cowgirls opened the season by winning their first two matches, recording a pair of 5-2 wins over Central Arkansas and Louisiana Tech before closing the event out with a loss to Tulsa.

UW is 14-2 all-time against Montana State, is a perfect 3-0 against LTU and will look for its first win in eight tries against Tulsa Sunday, as the Golden Hurricanes are 7-0 all-time against Wyoming.

Monday will be just the second-ever meeting with the Sooners as Oklahoma won last season against the Cowgirls in Norman. The Jan. 17 matchup will be the Sooners’ first contest of the season.
