Gameday Grub: The Cavalryman

LARAMIE -- The parking lots at War Memorial Stadium will be eerily quiet with tailgating canceled this season. Luckily, the Gem City is packed with amazing places to gather and eat before and after Pokes games.

Our newest video feature, Gameday Grub, highlights those local Laramie eateries. In our pilot episode, we find ourselves on the edge of town at The Cavalryman, a steakhouse that celebrated it's 50th year of continuous operation this past spring.

Generations of Wyoming Cowboys and students, not to mention countless thousands of visitors, have enjoyed a steak and beer at this historic venue.

We talked to Justin "JT" Taylor about all the ways this Laramie landmark has grown in the past few years, and treated a few customers to some some of the Cavalryman's signature dishes.
