LARAMIE -- Fifteen -- so far.

That's the number of offers defensive lineman Kingston Beyer fielded this offseason. The list included Power-4 programs like Houston and Boston College. North Texas was in, too. So were San Diego State, New Mexico, Air Force, UNLV and many others.

The 6-foot-2, 290-pound Fort Worth, Texas product is Laramie bound, giving his verbal commitment to the school Tuesday afternoon. He confirmed his decision on social media, becoming the sixth unofficial member of the 2027 class.

"This has 100% been the hardest decision I have ever made and I am extremely grateful to every coach who offered me and showed me love over the process," Beyer pinned on X. "I also want to thank my parents, teammates, coaches and, most importantly, God, for their help and belief in me. After my official visits I immediately knew where I needed to be. Coach (Deonte) Gibson and Coach (Jay) Sawvel believed in me from the beginning and that truly meant the world to me. With that, I am 1000% committed to the University of Wyoming!!!"

Beyer joins quarterbacks Michael Vander Luitgaren and Tucker Ingersoll, along with linebacker Drew Benassi and wideouts Alijah Landrum-Hamilton and Karson McKenzie as early verbal commits to Sawvel's program.

The three-star recruit, who played for All Saints Episcopal in high school, tallied 83 tackles, 40 for loss,15.5 sacks and five blocked punts last fall, earning Texas Private School Division-II Defensive Player of the Year honors. Beyer also helped lead the Saints to their second consecutive state championship. He was named the game's MVP.

Beyer is 28-0 as a prep starter.

The NCAA's early signing period will open Dec. 4.

University of Wyoming’s Top 50 Football Players

During the summer of 2021, 7220Sports.com counted down the Top 50 football players in University of Wyoming history, presented by Premier Bone & Joint Centers, Worthy of Wyoming.

The rules are simple: What was the player's impact while in Laramie? That means NFL stats, draft status or any other accolade earned outside of UW is irrelevant when it comes to this list.

This isn't a one-man job. This task called for a panel of experts. Joining 7220's Cody Tucker are Robert GagliardiJared NewlandRyan Thorburn, and Kevin McKinney.

We all compiled our own list of 50 and let computer averages do the work. Think BCS -- only we hope this catalog is fairer.
