No. 22 Cowboys host Air Force on Saturday

LARAMIE -- The No. 22 Wyoming Cowboys host the Air Force Falcons in a Saturday afternoon matinee at 2 p.m. inside the Dome of Doom. The Pokes are 11-0 at home this season and are in second place in the Mountain West. The first 2,00 fans will get a special Dome of Doom poster.

The contest will be televised on AT&T SportsNet and will also be available on the Mountain West Network.

Wyoming heads into the contest ranked No. 22 in the nation.
The Pokes fell on the road at New Mexico on Tuesday evening suffering their first lost since Jan. 25. The Cowboys are 21-4 overall and 10-2 in the conference. Wyoming has been guarding the arc well this season leading the conference and ranking No. 14 in the nation at 29 percent this season.
The Pokes rank fourth in the conference allowing the opposition to shoot 41.6 percent from the field. The Cowboy offense is shooting 47.7 percent to rank third in the MW and No. 26 in the nation.
The Falcons sit at 3-10 in Mountain West Conference play. Air Force averages 59.4 points per game, while allowing foes to average 65.4 points per contest, which ranks fourth-best in the conference. The Falcons connect on 44.2 percent of their field goal attempts, and that includes a 34.1 percent clip from 3-point land. Their opponents shoot 46.2 percent from the floor.
About The Players
Wyoming is led by scoring this season by Graham Ike at 20.8 per game to rank second in the league and tenth in the nation. He also leads the team in rebounds at 9.3 per game for second in the MW. He is one of three players in the nation to average over 20 points per game and nine or more rebounds. He, along with Hunter Maldonado, are the nation's top scoring duo, as Maldonado adds 19.2 points per game to rank third in the MW. He ranks second in the conference and ranks sixth in the nation with 6.2 assists per game.
Drake Jeffries adds 10.4 points per night and ranks ninth in the nation shooting 44 percent from behind the arc.
The Falcons are led by A.J. Walker who pours in 15.8 points per game. He stuffs the stat sheet, adding 2.4 rebounds, 1.7 assists and one steal per contest.
Jake Heidbreder is the only other Falcon scoring double-figures, averaging 10 points per game to go alongside 3.4 rebounds and two assists per contest. Ethan Taylor is Air Force's leading rebounder (five) and assist man (3.6).
About The Series
Wyoming leads the all-time series with Air Force, 81-41, in a series that dates back to 1958. It's been an even series of late with each team claiming wins in five of the last 10 meetings.
The Pokes won back in late January in Colorado Springs on a layup by Hunter Maldonado as time expired.
