LARAMIE -- There's a big selection lingering.

Is Wyoming's resume impressive enough -- despite dropping four of its last six -- to punch its ticket to the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2015 and the 16th time in program history?

Beating Fresno State tomorrow in Laramie would be a great start.

Claiming a victory -- or more -- in next week's Mountain West Tournament in Las Vegas will all but assure the Pokes are dancing in mid-March. That will be easier said than done.

Just last night, the Bulldogs took a surging San Diego State team into double overtime inside Viejas Arena before eventually falling, 65-64. Barring anything crazy, it appears the Cowboys will snag the No. 4 seed and take on UNLV in its home arena on Thursday afternoon at 3:30 p.m. MT.

You may have heard -- UW hasn't beaten the Rebels in the regular season inside the Thomas & Mack Center since 2003. That's a string of 19 straight losses in Sin City.

This will be the postseason though. We all know anything can happen when your season is on the line.

Jared Newland joined me in studio to discuss all the different scenarios and whether or not the Pokes' bubble will burst or float into madness on Selection Sunday. As of now, all the experts still have Wyoming in final field of 68.

Also, Mountain West champion long jumper, Shayla Howell, joined the show to talk about her big win in Albuquerque and the Indoor National Track & Field Championships in Alabama that await.

We also chat about her upbringing in Colony, Wyoming (extra points if you know where that is), the time she unexpectedly rode a bucking bronc and her history in the rodeo world.

Howell is a real life Wyoming Cowgirl, folks.

Speaking of Cowgirls, the Wyoming women's team snagged the No. 3 seed in Las Vegas after an OT winner over Border War rival Colorado State Wednesday night on the high plains. Looks like those two very well could lock horns again in the first round of the tourney.

Also, the UW wrestlers are heading to the Big XII Tournament in Tulsa this week. Stephen Buchanan is the top seed inside the BOK Center.

Former Wyoming linebacker Chad Muma is in Indianapolis showing off in front of NFL scouts at the combine. His workouts will be aired live on NFL Network on Saturday.

We discuss that, and more, on this week's episode of the Roaring Repeater. Check it out right HERE.
