Which one? We won't know that until possibly Sunday, but today an additional postseason contest was introduced by the NCAA, giving all 84 eligible teams a game to play in, according to a report from The Action Network.

What do we know?

The game will be played in Texas between a pair of Group of Five teams. Where? When? That's to be determined, according to the news site. The game will be televised by ESPN.

This move will also allow Hawaii, the team that earned its sixth win by knocking off Wyoming 38-14 last Saturday in Laramie, to play Dec. 24 in its home stadium against the Memphis Tigers.

Ball State, Miami (Ohio), Old Dominion, North Texas, Hawaii and Wyoming are the G5 teams with six wins. Two would've been left out without the addition of this new bowl.

A source with direct knowledge of the situation indicated today the Cowboys bowl destination could be determined at the conclusion of the Mountain West Championship game. Utah State travels to Carson, Calif., Saturday to take on No. 19 San Diego State. Kickoff is scheduled for 1 p.m. MT.

Wyoming has an 8-8 record all-time in bowl games. Craig Bohl's Cowboys beat Georgia State 38-17 in the 2019 Arizona Bowl.
