LARAMIE -- Well, it's finally championship weekend.

Still hard to believe Wyoming was very much alive and well in the title talk just two weeks ago. A pair of disappointing losses took care of that, but no one expected the Pokes to even make a run like that in the first place.

Jake Haener and the Fresno State Bulldogs will take a seven-game winning streak into Albertsons Stadium Saturday afternoon at the Mountain West championship game. Awaiting them is Taylen Green and the Boise State Broncos, who capped their campaign with a perfect 8-0 mark in conference play.

The winner of that one will head to the LA Bowl. The loser, who knows. San Diego State has already accepted an invite to the Hawaii Bowl to take on Middle Tennessee.

We should know Sunday afternoon where the Cowboys will spend their postseason. Will that be Albuquerque? Frisco? Boise? Elsewhere? We will all find out together.
