LARAMIE -- Wyoming is a double-digit dog in Fort Collins Friday night.

Warranted? Maybe.

The last two Border War's have been decided by a grand total of 10 points, the Cowboys coming out on top in both. These meetings are hotly contested no matter the record.

The Rams are currently in the midst of a four-game winning streak and know all about close calls. Three of those have been one-score games. Wyoming has ended up on the wrong side of some tight games this season, falling to Idaho, San Diego State and Utah State by a combined nine points.

Kaden Anderson was lights out in his first-career start at New Mexico, throwing for 342 yards and accounting for four touchdowns, three of which came from his right arm. The deep ball was on point. So was his tenacity, drawing an unsportsmanlike call for getting into it with a defensive lineman.

I'll take that guy on my team any day.

Running back Harrison Waylee returned to form in his 2024 debut against the Lobos, rushing for 170 yards and a score. He said his performance was "rusty."

I'll take that, too.

Give me the Pokes, 41-38.
