LARAMIE -- It's the 123rd "Brawl of the Wild" this Saturday in Bozeman.

While that means very little to me -- Admittedly, I don't have time to watch a ton of FCS football -- that is not the case with this week's guest pickers Kendall Bryce (a Montana State graduate) and Zak Pullen (who has a son attending the University of Montana).

These two are both Casper residents and, first and foremost, Wyoming fans.

Pullen is actually the illustrator of "A Home For Steamboat," a book about the legendary horse that can be found on the sides of the Cowboys football helmets, not to mention all over the state of Wyoming. You can pre-order that beautiful book right HERE.

"A Home for Steamboat is a story about a horse with an unbreakable spirit. Widely known as the symbol of Wyoming, the bucking bronco’s silhouette has been a symbol on the state's license plate since 1936. He was cared for as a foal by a loving family and then later sold to a wealthy ranch owner. His cowhands tried to break the young horse, but the born bucker had a mind of his own. Steamboat could not be broken. He was sold again, this time to a man who felt a kinship with the horse's strong will and independence. Steamboat had finally found his true home. Based on the famous horse’s life, A Home for Steamboat will inspire young cowboys and cowgirls to never give up."

You can watch the No. 9 Griz (8-3) and second-ranked Bobcats (11-0) square off at noon. The game will be broadcast on ESPN-plus.

University of Wyoming’s Top 50 Football Players

During the summer of 2021, 7220Sports.com counted down the Top 50 football players in University of Wyoming history, presented by Premier Bone & Joint Centers, Worthy of Wyoming.

The rules are simple: What was the player's impact while in Laramie? That means NFL stats, draft status or any other accolade earned outside of UW is irrelevant when it comes to this list.

This isn't a one-man job. This task called for a panel of experts. Joining 7220's Cody Tucker are Robert GagliardiJared NewlandRyan Thorburn, and Kevin McKinney.

We all compiled our own list of 50 and let computer averages do the work. Think BCS -- only we hope this catalog is fairer.
