Show us your picks: Week Five
LARAMIE -- We all expected Wyoming to take care of business against visiting Appalachian State.
The Cowboys did just that, only it took a 75-yard touchdown run from Harrison Waylee, a blocked field goal by DeVonne Harris, a scoop and score from Jakorey Hawkins and a Wrook Brown interception.
Never a doubt.
All but one of us -- Doug Nelson -- thought Middle Tennessee, like they did a year ago in Fort Collins, would top Colorado State. That didn't happen. Our buddy Mat Murdock actually works at the school in Murfreesboro. He assured us the Blue Raiders would pull off the W.
He lied.
All kidding aside, Fresno State cracked the Top 25 with a convincing victory over Kent State and Air Force remains unbeaten after taking down San Jose State on the road. UNLV is off to a surprising 3-1 start after a road win at UTEP and New Mexico squeaked one out in overtime at UMass.
The Cowboys are a 14-point favorite against those same Lobos this Saturday. The panel -- aside from Jen Kost and Murdock -- thinks Wyoming covers. Our guest picker Jack Tennant has even higher hopes for the Cowpokes. Check out his prediction below.
