Ophelia Powell, a 5-foot-9 guard, has also joined the Cowgirl roster after transferring from CSU-Bakersfield.

Berg has two seasons of eligibility remaining while Powell has three.

Berg led the Tetons to both a Region XIII and North Central District title, along with an appearance at the NJCAA D1 Women’s Basketball Championship last season at Williston. The Bismarck, N.D., native averaged 16.4 points, 6.6 rebounds and 2.8 assists per game while connecting on 51.3% of her shots from the floor.

She also had a 38% success rate from beyond the arc.

Berg, who was also on the softball team in Williston, drilled 77.4% of her free-throw attempts, helping lead the Tetons to a 32-2 overall record in 2025-26.

Powell appeared in 21 games in 2025-26 for the Roadrunners. The Melbourne, Australia native, graduated from St. Andrew’s College in Christchurch, New Zealand and three times led her team to a runner-up finish at the New Zealand Nationals. She also was a part of four South Island Championships.

Powell played for the New Zealand National Team for three years and played internationally with her AAU squad.

From Bison to Triceratops - All of Wyoming's Official Things

Every state in our nation has chosen things that represent the state in one way or another to be official state things. Like a flower, or animal. Wyoming is no different.

The Equality State, or the Cowboy State, depending on which state slogan you want to go with, has a state flower. But did you know we also have a state tree and a state fish? Yes, we even have a state code.

To be an official thing, a member of the state legislature must write and submit a bill to the legislature declaring that a thing will be the official state thing. Then the legislature votes to pass the bill, or not, if it passes, the governor signs the bill into law and we have a new official state thing.

Here is what we have so far, all of Wyoming's official things. Now you can win big on Wyo Trivia Night if that's a thing that exists.
