Wyoming Football Receives Verbal From 3-Star Wideout
LARAMIE -- It's never too early to start preparing for 2027, right?
Wyoming head coach Jay Sawvel has already gotten a head start on next year's recruiting class, receiving a verbal commitment Tuesday from a three-star prospect out of the Denver area, who has an impressive list of suitors.

Ole Miss and Miami offered Alijah Landrum-Hamilton, a 5-foot-10, 160-pound slot receiver who just claimed his second straight state title at Cherry Creek High School. So did Georgia State, Penn, Tulsa and the Cowboys' Border War rival, Colorado State.
Landrum-Hamilton was in attendance for Wyoming's 28-0 blanking of the Rams back in late October. Wide receivers coach Jovon Bouknight, along with Sawvel, reportedly sealed the deal early this week.
"First and foremost, thank God for guiding my journey," the soon-to-be senior penned on X. "Grateful for my family and coaches. I’m excited to announce my commitment to the University of Wyoming."
Landrum-Hamilton snagged 35 passes for 532 yards and eight touchdowns last fall, according to maxpreps.com. That's an average of 15.2 yards per catch to go along with 44.3 a game. His best outing came in a Week-3 matchup with Millard North, hauling in three passes for 116 yards and two scores in a 42-0 shutout.
He found the end zone in seven straight games for the Bruins, who capped the season 12-0 under legendary head coach and voice of the Denver Broncos, Dave Logan.
Landrum-Hamilton is currently ranked the seventh-best player in the state of Colorado. Nationally, he sits at No. 112 in the top wide receiver category, per 247sports.com.
