Wyoming Football: Jersey Numbers the New Guys are Wearing
LARAMIE -- Are jersey numbers even all that important?
Well, according to many Wyoming fans, No. 17 should be encased in glass forever and not to be worn again, especially by a quarterback.
Bad news for those folks.

Evan Svoboda, who is busy making the full-time transition from signal caller to tight end this offseason, will still don those digits this fall during his final collegiate season. So will nickelback Malique Singleton, just like he did last year ... and the year before that.
Jay Sawvel inked 17 transfers this winter, including 12 on the defensive side of the football. We all knew a massive overhaul was coming for that unit, which lost both starting safeties -- Wyett Ekeler and Isaac White -- and linebackers -- Shae Suiaunoa and Connor Shay.

There are also a few early-arriving rookies on campus like wideout Deion DeBlanc, edge rusher Axel Ramazani, cornerback Tyson Deen and, the state's top recruit, quarterback Mason Drube of Gillette.
