
Wyoming Cowboys in the NFL: Week 4
LARAMIE -- Two former University of Wyoming Cowboys squared off against one another Sunday during Week 4 of the NFL season.
Whether it was Josh Allen evading Carl Granderson or Granderson chasing down Allen, the two former Wyoming teammates did their best at their respective positions to help their team.

In the end, it was Allen and Buffalo who prevailed to improve to 4-0 on the season, while New Orleans dropped to 0-4 on the year. Allen finished 16-for-22 for 209 yards with two touchdowns and one interception while adding 45 yards on seven carries and one score on the ground.
Granderson piled up five tackles, one sack of Allen, two tackles for loss and one quarterback hit.

For the season, Allen is 85-for-121 for 964 yards with seven touchdowns and just two picks. He’s accumulated 159 yards on 31 carries with three scores via his legs. The Bills host New England on Sunday Night Football.
For the season, Granderson owns 20 tackles, 4.5 sacks – which ranks in a tie for third best in the league – six tackles for loss, two passes defended and five quarterback hits.
The Saints host the New York Giants in Week 5.
Below is a list of all the former Wyoming Cowboys and how they closed out the month of September:
Andrew Wingard, Jacksonville Jaguars (safety)
Wingard put forth a solid game in the Jaguars’ 26-21 win at San Francisco. He racked up five tackles and one pass defended. For the season, Wingard owns 22 tackles, one interception, one fumble recovery and two passes defended for 3-1 Jacksonville. The Jaguars host Kansas City on Monday Night Football.
Logan Wilson, Cincinnati Bengals (linebacker)
Wilson had another decent day in the Bengals’ 28-3 loss at Denver. He logged five tackles for the second straight week. For the season, Wilson has registered 25 tackles and has defended three passes for 2-2 Cincinnati. The Bengals host Detroit in Week 5.
Marcus Epps, Philadelphia Eagles (safety)
Epps found his way into the stat book for the second consecutive week in the Eagles’ 31-25 win at Tampa Bay. He logged one tackle. For the season, Epps has two tackles for 4-0 Philadelphia. The Eagles host Denver in Week 5.
Chad Muma, Indianapolis Colts (linebacker)
Muma was active for his second game of the season in the Colts’ 27-20 loss at the Los Angeles Rams. He had his most productive day with a pair of tackles. For the season, Muma has made three tackles for 3-1 Indianapolis. The Colts host the Raiders in Week 5.
Frank Crum, Denver Broncos (offensive lineman)
Crum wasn’t active for the fourth straight week in the Broncos’ 28-3 win over Cincinnati.
Treyton Welch, New Orleans Saints (tight end)
Welch has yet to be elevated from the practice squad.
Xazavian Valladay, Minnesota Vikings (running back)
Valladay, Wyoming's second all-time leading rusher behind only Brian Hill, signed with Minnesota this offseason and is currently a member of the practice squad. The Illinois product, who most recently suited up for the Jets, rushed for 3,281 yards and 19 touchdowns during his four seasons in Laramie before capping his college career at Arizona State.
Solomon Byrd, Houston Texans (defensive end)
Byrd was released and resigned by Houston, the team that selected him in the seventh round of the 2024 NFL Draft, this offseason and is currently a member of the Texans' practice squad. In four seasons in Laramie, Byrd tallied 87 tackles and 10 sacks. He didn't play in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. He finished his career at USC.
Isaiah Neyor, Green Bay Packers (wide receiver)
Neyor was originally signed by the 49ers this offseason as an undrafted free agent. He later caught on in Green Bay where he has been added to the practice squad. Neyor, who played at Wyoming from 2019-21, caught 52 passes for 1,126 yards and 12 touchdowns. He added another on the ground. The Fort Worth product transferred to Texas in 2022 and capped his collegiate career at Nebraska last fall.
