Not really.

Andrew Peasley, to the surprise of no one, will start under center when Texas Tech pays a visit to War Memorial Stadium Sept. 2. Dawaiian McNeely is slated at the top running back heading into fall camp, finishing ahead of Northern Illinois transfer Harrison Waylee, who will miss the first "couple of weeks" while he recovers from offseason knee surgery, according to Wyoming head coach Craig Bohl.

Alex Brown, Wyatt Wieland and Ryan Marquez will be on the outside, Treyton Welch is at the tight end spot, Caleb Driskill is the fullback and the Cowboys' new-look offensive line -- from left tackle to right -- goes like this: Frank Crum, Wes King, Nofoafia Tulafono, Jack Walsh and Caden Barnett.

King, who stands 6-foot-5, 292 pounds, didn't appear in any games in 2022. The new left guard is a three-star recruit out of Appleton, Wisc.

Crum is making the move to Peasley's blindside. Barnett, who appeared in all 12 games last fall, will take over the left tackle spot.

On the defensive side of the ball, newly crowned preseason defensive player of the year Easton Gibbs anchors a deep, talented unit. The strength is in the front four led by Cole Godbout, Jordan Bertagnole and DeVonne Harris. Sabastian Harsh, arguably the most talented of the group, will start on the edge after missing the 2022 season with a knee injury.

Shae Suiaunoa was the Cowboys' second-leading tackler last season with 73. He's a starter, for now. Bohl said Thursday at Mountain West media days in Las Vegas that Connor Shay, though listed as an outside linebacker, is making a push to enter the lineup after Suiaunoa missed the spring, recovering from shoulder surgery.

Bohl said you can also expect some competition for the starting cornerback spots. Former transfers Jakorey Hawkins (Ole Miss) and Deron Harrell (Wisconsin) are currently listed, but Wyoming's head coach has raved about the emergence of 6-foot-4 sophomore Kolbey Taylor. Tyrecus Davis, who came to Laramie via Navarro College in the winter, also snagged a pick-six in the Cowboys' spring game.

Wyett Ekeler (free) and Isaac White (strong) will start at safety and Wrook Brown will be the nickelback.
