
Quigley Named Old Trapper MW Freshman of the Week
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo., – The Mountain West announced the Old Trapper Volleyball Players of the Week Monday morning. Wyoming’s Sara Quigley was named the Old Trapper MW Freshman of the Week for her performance in the Cowgirls’ two wins last week.

Quigley, who recorded back-to-back double-doubles in the wins at Grand Canyon and New Mexico, led the Cowgirls in assists and in digs on the week. Quigley opened the week with 24 assists and a career-high 19 digs in the five-set thriller against GCU. She then followed that up with 26 assists and 16 digs in the win over the Lobos.
For the week, Quigley averaged 5.56 assists, 3.89 digs and 1.22 points per set. Quigley also added five service aces in the two matches and had three kills in each match, recording a .385 hitting percentage.
Quigley and the rest of the Cowgirls return home this week for a pair of matches. UW hosts Utah State Thursday at 6:30 p.m., and Boise State at noon Saturday.
