LARAMIE -- Goodbye, sunny San Diego. Hello, Pullman.

Wyoming will not make its first visit to Snapdragon Stadium next fall as originally planned and will instead travel to the Palouse to take on Washington State as part of the Mountain West Conference's scheduling agreement with the remaining two members of the Pac-12.

The Cowboys were also slated to host UNLV and Nevada. Instead, Jay Sawvel's team will also head to Albuquerque to take on the Lobos. Utah State will also make the trip to Laramie.

Here is Wyoming's complete 2024 football schedule:

8/31 - at Arizona State

9/7 - Idaho

9/14 - BYU

9/21 - at North Texas

TBA - at Colorado State

TBA - at New Mexico

TBA - at San Jose State

TBA - at Washington State

TBA - Air Force

TBA - Utah State

TBA - Boise State

TBA - San Diego State

Dates, times and television will be announced at a later date.

The league slate features a total of 42 games and 12 nonconference matchups against Oregon State and Washington State. As previously announced, the games against the Beavers and Cougars are part of a scheduling agreement for the 2024 football season.

The schedule will play out over 14 weeks.

The Mountain West Football Championship Game, featuring the two MW teams with the highest Conference winning percentages, will follow on Saturday, Dec. 7.

The 2024 schedule follows a 7+1 model, whereby each MW program will play seven league opponents, and play either Oregon State or Washington State, with an even split of four home games and four away games among the eight contests.

Working off the previous three-year schedule rotation (2023-2025), matchups were rebalanced utilizing the same principles to minimize the impact on the original 2024 schedule. The schedule format and agreement with Oregon State and Washington State provides additional strength of schedule to the MW.

The 2024 MW football membership includes Air Force, Boise State, Colorado State, Fresno State, Hawai‘i, Nevada, New Mexico, San Diego State, San José State, UNLV, Utah State and Wyoming.

University of Wyoming’s Top 50 Football Players

During the summer of 2021, 7220Sports.com counted down the Top 50 football players in University of Wyoming history, presented by Premier Bone & Joint Centers, Worthy of Wyoming.

The rules are simple: What was the player's impact while in Laramie? That means NFL stats, draft status or any other accolade earned outside of UW is irrelevant when it comes to this list.

This isn't a one-man job. This task called for a panel of experts. Joining 7220's Cody Tucker are Robert GagliardiJared NewlandRyan Thorburn, and Kevin McKinney.

We all compiled our own list of 50 and let computer averages do the work. Think BCS -- only we hope this catalog is fairer.
