Three UW Wrestlers Earn CSC Academic All-District Honors

LARAMIE --College Sports Communicators Tuesday announced its Academic All-District honorees.

A trio of University of Wyoming wrestlers were honored.

Sefton Douglass (125), Jared Hill (157) and Riley Davis (174) reeled in the award. In order to qualify, a student-athlete must be a sophomore or older, have a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher and have competed in at least 75 percent of the team’s competition or the conference championships.

Douglass was a starter, compiling a 7-15 record. The Lyman, Wyo., product competed at the Big XII Championships.

Hill, another starter, owned an 11-12 record with half a dozen dual victories and one ranked win. He also competed at the Big XII Championships in Tulsa, landing in eighth. Hill, a Broken Bow, Okla., native, spent his first three collegiate seasons at the University of Oklahoma. He was also a member of the CSC Academic All-American list in 2025.

Davis, an Amarillo, Texas product, was an NCAA qualifier who went 12-12 with three ranked victories. He placed sixth at conference championships after entering unseeded. He also won a match at the NCAA Championships.

Wyoming landed just two wrestlers on this list last June. Joining Hill was 125-pounder Garrett Ricks of Perry, Utah.
