Around the Mtn: Five conference teams already bowl eligible
LARAMIE -- Five Mountain West teams are already bowl eligible.
Defending conference champions, San Jose State, could join this party with a victory in Reno this Saturday.
With wins, Wyoming, Boise State and Hawaii will be one step closer to a postseason invite. Those three programs all have four wins.
Here are some other news and notes from around the league:
* Air Force (6-2), Fresno State (6-2), Nevada (6-2), San Diego State (7-0) and Utah State (6-2) are bowl eligible. San José State can reach bowl eligibility with a victory over Nevada on Nov. 6. * The Mountain West is one of just two FBS conferences with at least two nonconference victories against top-15 opponents (SEC - 3).
