LARAMIE -- "The Black 14."

If you're a Wyoming fan, chances are you know the tale. Now, the world is hearing about this event that happened 50 years ago thanks to national media outlets picking up the story.

We aren't going to rehash all of that right here. This cartoon speaks for itself.

Friday afternoon, a plaque was placed on the southeast side of War Memorial Stadium to remember the events that took place here a half-century ago. The players that will be in attendance during Saturday's home game against Idaho will be honored at halftime.

Our cartoonist, Chad Blakely, once again came through with a beauty this week. These illustrations are meant to showcase some of the great moments in University of Wyoming athletics history.

But, as you see, we won't forget our history.
