COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo., – The Wyoming Cowboy golfers enjoyed a big day during the second round of the Gene Miranda Falcon Invite on Monday shooting an eight-under par score of 280 as a team to move up to sixth in the team standings after two rounds.

Wyoming moved up 10 spots on a tough Eisenhower Golf Course in Colorado Springs, as Wyoming sits four-over par after two rounds of the three-round event that features 24 teams.

Kristof Panke had a strong day shooting a 67 (-5) for the round, which was tied for the second lowest round of the day for the field. He is tied for 36th place with a 147 (+3). Patrick Azevedo shot a 70 (-2) on Monday and is tied for 18th at 144 (E) with teammate Davis Seybert, who shot even par for the second-straight contest.

Jaren Calkins added a score of 71 (-1) for the second round and is tied for 48th at 148 (+4). Jimmy Dales finished with a 76 (+4) for the second round and is at 153 (+9) for the event for a tie of 82nd place.

New Mexico State has the lead in the team race at eight under through two rounds. Colorado State is in second at five under followed by UC Davis (-4), Valpo (-2) and Cal Poly (-1). Wyoming sits in sixth with CSU Northridge three strokes behind.

Final round action starts tomorrow morning at 9:10 for the Cowboys.
