LARAMIE -- The Wyoming Cowboys head south for a Saturday afternoon matinee against Colorado State on Saturday. The contest is slated for a 2 p.m. start in Moby Arena, as it is the second contest as the two rivals battled to overtime in the first meeting with the Pokes earning the win with a miracle last minute comeback.

The contest will be streamed on the Mountain West Network. Fans can watch, listen to the contest, as well as follow stats on GoWyo.com.. The game will be broadcast live on radio over the 26 affiliate stations of the Cowboy Sports Network, as Keith Kelly will be on the call alongside Kevin McKinney.


About The Teams

Wyoming heads into the contest with a 13-15 overall record and a 6-9 mark in conference play after falling in overtime to the Mountain West’s hottest team UNLV on Tuesday.

The Pokes are shooting 45 percent from the field for the season with the opposition shooting 45.9 percent. UW leads the Mountain West in three-point percentage at 36.8 percent. Wyoming has capitalized on turnovers the last two games scoring 34 total with 19 against Boise State and 15 against the Runnin’ Rebels.

Wyoming averages 34.4 rebounds per night and are +0.9 on the glass this season.

Colorado State is 20-9 on the season and 8-8 in conference play after falling to Nevada 77-74 on Tuesday. The Rams are receiving votes in the Associated Press Poll.

CSU averages 76.8 points per game and are allowing 68.1 per night. The Rams are one of the nation’s top shooting teams at 49.1 percent for the season. Colorado State is also sharing the basketball at a high-level averaging 18.9 helpers per game.

Wyoming is led in scoring this season by Sam Griffin at 17.2 points per game for fourth in the MW. He has scored 20 or more points in 11 games this season. He also leads the team adding 3.4 assists per game.

Akuel Kot adds 13.7 points per game. He has recorded 52 three-pointers on the season for second on the team behind 65 from Griffin. Mason Walters adds 12.9 points per game and Brendan Wenzel adds 11.2 per night. Cam Manyawu adds 6.6 rebounds per game to lead the Pokes this season and rank eighth in the conference.

Colorado State is led in scoring by Isaiah Stevens at 16.6 points per game and he leads the team and conference with 7.3 assists per night. Nique Clifford adds 12.4 points per game and Joel Scott adds 12.2 points and leads the team with 7.1 rebounds per game.


About The Series

The Cowboys are 139-102 all-time against the Rams in a series that dates back to 1911. UW is 54-60 all-time in Fort Collins. UW erased an 11-point Ram lead in the final 53 seconds to force overtime and earn the win on Jan. 27. It was the largest comeback back in under a minute in the regular season in NCAA history.
