“It was a good weekend for us in both doubles play and singles play,” UW head coach Dean Clower said. “Our leaders led us all weekend and it was a total team effort. The depth of our lineup really showed this weekend and that is what we need as the season goes on here.”

The Cowgirls used their momentum from Friday’s win by taking the doubles point with wins from the team of Sophie Zehender and Violetta Borodina alongside duo of Noesjka Brink and Nikol Dobrilova. Zehender and Borodina made short work of their opponents from Utah State 6-0. Brink and Dobrilova added a 6-3 win holding off their opponents late and clinching the point.

In singles action, Zehender defeated Zeynep Ozturk by a score of 6-2 and 6-0. Borodina earned a win as well winning by marks of 6-2 and 6-3. Ante also earned the win and the clinching point with scores of 6-4 and a dominate win 6-1. Brink was ahead in her match with tallies of 6-3 and 5-2.

The Cowgirls hit the road for a pair of matches heading to San Diego State on March 28 and UNLV on March 30.

University of Wyoming’s Top 50 Football Players

During the summer of 2021, 7220Sports.com counted down the Top 50 football players in University of Wyoming history, presented by Premier Bone & Joint Centers, Worthy of Wyoming.

The rules are simple: What was the player's impact while in Laramie? That means NFL stats, draft status or any other accolade earned outside of UW is irrelevant when it comes to this list.

This isn't a one-man job. This task called for a panel of experts. Joining 7220's Cody Tucker are Robert GagliardiJared NewlandRyan Thorburn, and Kevin McKinney.

We all compiled our own list of 50 and let computer averages do the work. Think BCS -- only we hope this catalog is fairer.
