Cowgirls Travel to Sacramento for 2024 Causeway Invitational

LARAMIE -- After finishing in third place at the Mountain Classic Match Play, the Cowgirls will make their way to the Del Paso Country Club for the Causeway Invitational hosted by UC Davis on Feb. 26-27.

A total of 12 teams will be participating in the invitational. The format will be 54 holes and the first two rounds will see Wyoming matched up against Gonzaga and Santa Clara. There will be an individual as well as a team champion crowned after the tournament.

Graduate student Jadan Gonzalez had a strong showing at the Mountain Match Play Classic after winning two of her three head-to-head matchups and will look to pick up where she left off. Morgan Ryan, Sophie Spiva, and Samantha Spielman will also be making the trip for the Cowgirls also hoping to build off of their showings in the Mountain Classic. Rounding out the lineup for Wyoming will be junior Kyla Wilde. She swept her competition, going 3-0 in Palm Desert.

Tournament Field
12 teams will be involved with the tournament including Wyoming. Other teams are UC Davis, Sacramento State, Gonzaga, Cal Poly, Fresno State, Santa Clara, Nevada, BYU, Weber State, Hawaii, and the University of British Colombia.

The Cowgirls will have their day start at 9:30 a.m. MT on Feb. 26.
