CHEYENNE — Hold on to your taste buds and get ready for some fun in our season finale of Ryan Rogers' Gourmet 'Gating, celebrating the Pokes' final regular-season game. The Boise State Broncos leave the safety of their smurf-turf and ascend to 7,220 feet. Unfortunately, they won't arrive to War Memorial to find thousands of fans tailgating in the main lot, but that's where we come in.

Ryan dug up some Idaho-themed menu items this week that are perfect for tailgating at home with friends and family, although if you don't like fried food you may be disappointed.

Heck, if you don't like fried food you probably don't tailgate anyway.

And for our Cowboy Cocktail we go a bit off the rails. Ever heard of molecular gastronomy? It's a field of cooking where they basically use science to make food look like other stuff. They make pudding that looks like ice cubes, soup that looks like hard-boiled eggs and — as we're demonstrating today — an ice-cream cocktail that looks like a baked potato with all the fixins.

Yeah. Rogers pulled out all the stops to round off our first season. Hopefully the Poke's offense will do the same against Boise State. Enjoy!

Season One Notes

We're hoping to have a season two of Mr. Roger's Gourmet 'Gating. If you liked the show, let us know! What would you like to see more of? Anything you'd like to see us tackle next season? We'd love to hear from you!

Ever notices some of the music in our episodes seem a bit... strange? Well that's because our media team are always so inspired by Ryan Rogers' songs, we end up making our own. Check out a little behind the scenes video of how that comes together here:

P.S. In the course of making the graphics for this episode, we sort of ended up making this. We thought we'd share.
