Josh Allen didn’t forget about ‘Sheep week’
LARAMIE -- The Denver media could only chuckle.
Former Wyoming Cowboy and current Buffalo Bills quarterback, Josh Allen, went on a 55-second rant Wednesday afternoon, sharing his thoughts on his college rivals, Colorado State.
You can listen to that right here:
Allen never lost to the Rams -- or "sheep" as he repeatedly called them -- in his two games against them.
In Fort Collins in 2016, the Cowboys overcame an early deficit to run away from Colorado State, 38-17. Wyoming defensive tackle, Chase Appleby, had an interception for a touchdown in that one. Allen threw for 165 yards and a touchdown. He rushed for 55 yards and another score in the Cowboys final trip to Hughes Stadium.
The second contest will always be remembered for a second half snowstorm and a leaping catch by fullback Drew Van Maanen. Wyoming escaped with a 16-13 win that night in Laramie. Allen threw for 138 yards in the elements and rushed for 60 more.
The 111th Border War will kickoff Friday night at 7:30 p.m. MST.
Allen and the Bills take on the Denver Broncos Sunday at 11 a.m. MST.
