LARAMIE -- Nevada, Boise State, Utah State, Georgia and Ohio State were all unanimous selections by our panel.

We all thought San Diego State would remain unbeaten after facing Fresno State at home.

We were all wrong.

Houston's upset of SMU threw most of us for a loop. So did Auburn shutting down the high-powered offensive attack of Ole Miss. The Texas-Baylor game was a toss up. The Bears won that by a touchdown.
