LARAMIE -- Jay Sawvel said his team was going to enjoy that 41-23 rout over visiting Northern Illinois until roughly 12:01 a.m.
That's when preperation for Air Force and its vaunted option attack begin.
While the sole focus over these next six days will be on limiting the second-best rushing offense in the nation, the truth is, this plan has been in the works since last spring. Wyoming, like it did for a decade under former head coach Craig Bohl, always spends a few days showing players the variety of looks the visitors from Colorado Springs bring to the table.
They set aside time in fall camp, too.
You never can be too prepared, right?
"It's everything we got in the next six days to play the best football that we can next Friday night," Sawvel added. "It's going to be a huge challenge, for sure, and it's not going to be something that's easy. I don't think I'm going to have to get anybody's attention tomorrow evening about what we've got to do this week and how we've got to go work."
Before we dive into the Fly Boys this week, let's take a look back at the scene on Saturday. Tyler Hughes rushed for a career-high 184 yards on just a dozen attempts and crossed the goal line four times in that lopsided win over the winless Huskies.
