LARAMIE -- Can Wyoming bounce back from an absolutely abysmal performance last Saturday afternoon in Boise?
It can't get much worse than that.
The score -- 32-7 -- doesn't even begin to tell the tale of what really transpired on the Broncos' famous blue turf. The Cowboys managed just 122 yards of total offense, 27 of which came on the ground. Andrew Peasley and Co. never crossed midfield in that rout.
It was as ugly as it sounds.
What better remedy than facing your most-hated nemesis, Border War rival Colorado State?
The Rams ride into Laramie with a 3-5 record and coming off a 30-13 loss to in-state foe Air Force last Saturday inside a snow-covered Canvas Stadium. They hung for a half. The No. 17 Falcons, in the end, were just too much on the ground, punishing Jay Norvell's squad for 261 rushing yards and holding CSU off the scoreboard over the final two quarters.
Wyoming has won 6-of-7 in this series, including the last two meetings.
The Cowboys need this one just to stay in the championship conversation. Mathematically, a trip to the Mountain West title game isn't off the table. Realistically, well, that's another story.
Before we even get into scenarios, let's all sit back and enjoy a Friday night show on the high plains.
