Show Us Your Picks: Week 3
LARAMIE -- Pick BYU? To beat Wyoming?
You're kidding right?
Now, if there was a pot of gold at the end of this season, and we were battling for more than simply bragging rights, I might use my brain instead of my hatred in this matchup. The Cougars are a double-digit favorite Saturday in Laramie. They should be, too.
That team is an impressive 2-0.
Wyoming is an opposite-of-impressive 0-2, suffering back-to-back losses to Arizona State and Idaho.

In the opener, Jay Sawvel's Cowboys weren't competitive. In last Saturday's 17-13 setback against the Vandals, that same squad committed nine penalties for 70 yards and squandered every opportunity to win in front of a capacity crowd at War Memorial Stadium.
What better opportunity is there, though, than to get right against an old rival like BYU?
Easier said than done, but, man, that would go a long way in determining how this season turns out and put those first two weeks even further in the rear-view mirror.
Kickoff is slated for 7 p.m. Mountain Time and the game will be televised on CBS Sports Network.
Here are last week's standings:

Deric Yaussi: 6-6
Cody: 6-6
Mat: 5-7
Overall standings:
Doug: 18-6

DJ: 16-8
Jen: 15-9
Jared: 14-10
Cody: 13-11
Joining us this week is the quarterback of that 2003 squad, Casey Bramlet. Before becoming a seventh-round pick of the Cincinnati Bengals and leading his Hamburg Sea Devils to a World Bowl Championship, the Wheatland product was busy throwing for 9,684 yards and 56 touchdowns in Laramie.
I'd be willing to bet that 13-10 victory over BYU in 2003 is one of his fondest memories in a Cowboys uniform. Just a guess.
Gordon Taylor of Cheyenne was no doubt in the stands that day in Laramie. I'm thinking he's been in attendance for many wins over the Cougars. Maybe he can add another Saturday.
Appreciate those two making some picks with us this week.
