LARAMIE -- Yes, I realize this feature is coming out a day late.

BYU took care of Utah State last night, holding on for the 38-26 victory inside LaVell Edwards Stadium. The Old Wagon Wheel will reside in Provo, maybe forever, with the Cougars making the move to the Big XII and not currently leaving a spot on its 12-game schedule for the Aggies anytime soon.

That's one of the really sad aspects of the current college football landscape.

Those two programs have met on a football field 91 times. This could be the end of a truly great rivalry game in the west.

But, hey, that's nothing new, right? Wyoming and BYU have played 79 times. Currently, the Cougars are slated to come to Laramie in 2024. Will that happen or will the visitors pay off UW with a big fat check? Your guess is as good as mine.

Anyway, let's get back to this weekend's slate of games.

Just The Facts: Size Doesn't Matter For Wyoming's War Memorial Stadium

Did you know it would take the populations of Gillette (32,857), Laramie (32,381), Rock Springs (23,319), Sheridan (17,844) and Wright (1,200) to create a sellout inside Michigan's famed 107,601-seat Big House, the largest college football stadium in the nation?

For those of you not familiar with the Cowboy State, those are Wyoming's third through sixth most inhabited cities, along with the small mining town in Campbell County.
