CHEYENNE -- When reporters get the chance to chat with Mike Leach there's no telling where the conversation might go.

The same can be said for the 45 minutes we had last week with Mississippi State's new head football coach.

Check that out below:

We chatted about pirates (one of his favorite subjects), Halloween costumes, music taste, best movies and breaking the honor code at his alma mater, Brigham Young University. Leach is well aware the letters BYU are considered a cuss word in Wyoming.

That's because he's from here.

Leach grew up in Cody. He discusses with us what it was like to be raised in Park County and how a guy who never played college football became one of the most inventive coaches in the sport.

We also went in with a Wyoming Cowboys angle.

Let's just say Leach loves Andrew Wingard, the gift he received from Craig Bohl and has overall respect for the Cowboy football program. Heck, if Leach's former school, Washington State, didn't snag three defensive coaches from Wyoming, he said he might have.

This was a really fun interview and we hope you enjoy it!
