The Cowboys found that just in time to earn some R-E-S-P-E-C-T. Amazing what happens when you put away social media, have a players-only meeting and receive a stern challenge from your head coach.

Make no mistake, this was a gigantic swing game for Jay Sawvel and Co. Fall inside War Memorial Stadium -- on Homecoming, no less -- and you're already staring at a 1-3 start and a goose egg in conference play.

Not to mention Wyoming will hit the road to take on North Dakota State inside a sold-out Fargo Dome next Saturday. The Bison, under the leadership of former UW offensive coordinator Tim Polasek, are an impressive 4-0 in their first season as an FBS program.

Did I mention NDSU was off this week and is already a 19.5-point favorite? Imagine what that number would've looked like if the Cowboys hadn't snapped out of it and downed the Rainbow Warriors 27-10 last Saturday?

After that trip to the flatlands, it's a flight to San Jose on a short week. Wyoming hasn't won in the Bay Area since 1996. Sure, that's only a four-game streak, but every one of those games was winnable.
