Vogt closes Clash at Boulder Creek with career best round

BOULDER CREEK, Nev., – The Wyoming Cowgirl golf squad wrapped up their fall schedule on Tuesday afternoon as they completed the final round of play at the Clash at Boulder Creek. Freshman Megan Vogt ended the tournament on a high note with a career best round score of 70 (-2).

Vogt bounced back in a big way in the third and final round as she notched two birdies and scored par on every other hole to record the most impressive round of her young Cowgirl career. Vogt’s incredible round helped her to finish tied for 43^rd.

Fellow Freshman Kyla Wilde turned in her best round of the tournament shooting a 73 (+3) to finish tied for 60^th. Jessica Zapf closed out the tournament in a tie for 76^th after shooting a 78 (+6) in the third round. Samantha Hui and Morgan Ryan rounded out the Cowgirl lineup finishing tied for 79^th and 89^th respectively.

As a team, the Cowgirls finished 17^th with a team score of 923 (+59) while UNLV won the tournament with a three-round team score of 864 (E).

The Cowgirls will now be off until the spring as they turn their attention to training for the spring season which will begin with the Mountain Classic Match play on Feb. 14 – Feb. 15.
