
Cowgirls Add to Steeplechase Record Book
AZUSA, Calif., – Three Cowgirls recorded new Top 10 program times on the first day of the Bryan Clay Invitational, Thursday night.

COWGIRLS
The Cowgirls’ day began with four running in the 3,000-meter steeplechase. Sophomore Muriel Jones led the way in the open section with a time of 10:30.80. Her personal best time placed her 31st, third in heat four, and up to No. 5 in program history.
Next to cross the line was sophomore Brionna Holso with a time of 10:39.84 for 52nd overall and second in heat two. This was a personal best by over 20 seconds and enters Holso at No. 7 in Wyoming history.
Senior Rozlyn Slichko also ran a personal best at 10:42.64 for 59th. This moves her to No. 8, her second Top 10 program time in the steeplechase this season.
Finally, in the open section, freshman Gracie Uhre took 101st with a time of 11:02.38 for a personal best finish.
To close out the night, senior Marina Trave and junior Eowyn Dalbec ran in the 10,000 meters. In heat two of the invitational, Trave completed her 25 laps in 34:38.42 for 21st. Dalbec would cross the line 27th in that same heat with a time of 34:53.81.
COWBOYS
To start the day, sophomore Austin Akers ran in the 3,000-meter steeplechase. In heat two of the open section, he finished in 13th with a time of 9:25.37, good for 78th overall.
