LARAMIE -- The University of Wyoming men’s golf team’s 2025-26 season will continue. The Pokes accepted an invitation to play in the 2026 National Golf Invitational, which takes place at Ak-Chin Southern Dunes from May 22-24.

“What an awesome competition for our guys to participate in,” head coach Joe Jensen said. “We had a last-place finish in the first tournament this year. For us to come so far is just phenomenal. We played our way into this invite. It will be a valuable tournament experience for our young guys.”

This’ll mark the fourth annual NGI, and the Cowboys have played in the tournament two of the first three years. They placed runner-up in the inaugural competition in 2023 and took fifth in 2024.

This year’s men’s tournament includes an exemption to a PGA Tour event. The individual winner of the 2026 NGI will punch a ticket to the Butterfield Bermuda Championship set for Oct. 22-26 at Port Royal Golf Course in Southhampton, Bermuda.
