LARAMIE – University of Wyoming wrestling head coach Mark Branch announced his fall signing class on Wednesday. Seven future Cowboys from five different states inked their name to continue their collegiate careers in Laramie.

“This is another great recruiting class that should excite the Wyoming wrestling fans,” Branch said. “I think these guys are going to fit in well with our culture and continue to help our program climb the national ranks.”

All seven are ranked inside the top 200 of Mat Scout’s 2026 Big Board. Only two schools boasted more signees present on the Big Board than Wyoming.
Below is a list of the future Cowboys:

 

Blake Bartos (Medina, Ohio)
Bartos is a 141-pounder from Buckeye High School. He’s a state champion that’s ranked No. 138 on Mat Scout’s 2026 Big Board and No. 16 in his weight class. Bartos hails from the same high school as current sophomore, Eddie Neitenbach.

 

Austin Paris (Moab, Utah)
Paris is a 157-pounder from Grand County High School. He’s a three-time state champion and ranked No. 166 on Mat Scout’s 2026 Big Board.

 

Austin Collins (Wray, Colorado)
Collins is a 149-pounder from Wray High School. He’s a two-time state champion and ranked No. 174 on Mat Scout’s 2026 Big Board.

 

Dom Wilson (Rockwall, Texas)
Wilson is a 165-pounder from Rockwall High School. He’s ranked No. 116 on Mat Scout’s 2026 Big Board and No. 13 in his weight class.

 

Tucker Roybal (Roosevelt, Utah)
Roybal is a 174-pounder from Union High School. He’s ranked No. 60 on Mat Scout’s 2026 Big Board and No. 12 in his weight class.

 

Derek Barrows (Fort Collins, Colorado)
Barrows is a 157-pounder from Pomona High School. He’s a two-time state champion and ranked No. 162 on their 2026 Big Board and No. 20 in his weight class.

 

Kyler Walters (Savage, Minnesota)
Walters is a 165-pounder from Shakopee High School. He’s ranked No. 199 on Mat Scout’s 2026 Big Board and No. 25 in his weight class.

 

From Bison to Triceratops - All of Wyoming's Official Things

Every state in our nation has chosen things that represent the state in one way or another to be official state things. Like a flower, or animal. Wyoming is no different.

The Equality State, or the Cowboy State, depending on which state slogan you want to go with, has a state flower. But did you know we also have a state tree and a state fish? Yes, we even have a state code.

To be an official thing, a member of the state legislature must write and submit a bill to the legislature declaring that a thing will be the official state thing. Then the legislature votes to pass the bill, or not, if it passes, the governor signs the bill into law and we have a new official state thing.

Here is what we have so far, all of Wyoming's official things. Now you can win big on Wyo Trivia Night if that's a thing that exists.
