
Mountain West Announces Women’s Basketball Schedule
LARAMIE -- The Mountain West announced its conference women’s basketball schedule for the 2025-26 season Wednesday. For the first time this season, the Wyoming Cowgirls will play a 20-game conference slate.

The Cowgirls open with a pair of contests before Winter Break begins. The league-opener comes at home December 17 as San Jose State comes to town. Wyoming will next travel to Fresno State Dec. 20 before the break. After the break, the Cowgirls travel to New Mexico to close the year 2025 on the 31st.
The New Year begins with a home contest against defending Mountain West Tournament champion San Diego State, in Laramie January 3. The next two matchups for the Cowgirls come against their counterparts from the state of Nevada. UW travels to Reno to face Nevada Jan. 7 before returning home to host four-time defending Mountain West regular season champion UNLV on the 10th.
Jan. 14, Wyoming travels to Boise State. After that, the Cowgirls host back-to-back home contests Jan. 17 against Air Force and Jan. 21 versus Utah State. Three days later, on the 24th, the Cowgirls will again face the Aggies, this time in Logan. The last two contests of January come on the 28th at home against Fresno State and the 31st at new Mountain West member, Grand Canyon.
After a February 4 game in Laramie against New Mexico, the Cowgirls will hit the road for the next two games, a couple of big-time contests at Colorado State (Feb. 7) and UNLV (Feb. 11). Boise State comes to town for a Feb. 14 contest. The Rams come to Laramie for round two of the Border War, Feb. 21. The next two games come on the road, Feb. 25 at Air Force and Feb. 28 at SDSU. Wyoming’s regular season finale comes at home for Senior Night against Grand Canyon March 3.
UW opens the season with a pair of exhibition contests, beginning with Fort Lewis, October 24 in Laramie. The Cowgirls will then welcome Colorado Christian Oct. 31. Both contests are set for 6:30 p.m. The regular season tips for Wyoming November 4 against Saint Mary’s, at 6:30 p.m., in Laramie.
