* It's extremely hot today in Fort Collins. At the moment, it's every bit of 90-plus degrees as Wyoming players trickle out of the visiting locker room to warm up. There's a slight breeze out of the east, but it's not helping.

* This will be the 118th meeting between these two Border War rivals. Since the coveted Bronze Boot was introduced into this rivalry, Wyoming holds a 32-26 lead.

* CSU has lost eight straight season openers. The Cowboys blanked Akron 10-0 last fall inside a rain-soaked InfoCision Stadium.

* Wyoming has won eight of the last 10 meetings in this series, one that dates all the way back to 1899. The Cowboys have also claimed 12 of the last 17.

* Chandler Donaway, Wyoming's senior guard who missed a chunk of fall camp dealing with a personal issue back home in Texas, is in street clothes. Edge rusher Donnie Wingate is also expected to miss this game.
