GALLERY: Wyoming, Colorado State Tangle in 118th Border War

FORT COLLINS, Colo., -- Tears welled up in Rex Johnsen's eyes as he slowly walked off the football field Saturday night.

As joyous students leaped from the stands and sprinted toward the north end zone inside Canvas Stadium, Wyoming's starting left tackle just stared straight ahead as he made his way toward the visiting locker room.

In his final shot to claim the coveted Bronze Boot, the Iowa product was instead left with a walk of shame as Colorado State players and students chanted and celebrated around that famous traveling trophy.

To add a little salt to the wound after that 35-13 loss, the speakers blared Willie Nelson's hit song "Mammas Don't Let Your Babies Grow Up to be Cowboys."
