Casey Bramlet threw for 337 yards and a pair of touchdowns, including a 51-yard touchdown strike to Malcom Floyd to pull off the 35-28 stunner. The snow gently fell from the sky above War Memorial Stadium. The goal posts were violently plucked from the natural grass and marched down Grand Avenue.

Ah, memories.

For me, that question also isn't a difficult one: Any Wyoming native, especially during that era, who wore that horned helmet: Ben Stratton, Clint Oldenburg and Bob Vomhof, to be more specific.

Mason Drube, a Gillette product and current quarterback on the Cowboys' roster, stuck up for the latter two. After all, they are from his hometown. He says they wanted to go to Wyoming.

Yeah, yeah. Then they should have.

Still bitter about that? You bet. Nothing boils your blood like seeing guys who were raised here, hoisting up the Bronze Boot, in that uniform, in Laramie.
