"It's the upside and the size and the athleticism, his feet, his protection," Denver's head coach told reporters on Tuesday, the day NFL teams are mandated to cut their respective rosters down to 53 players. "We have a clear and a really good vision for what we think he can become, and that ceiling is high. And so, you can tell there are other teams doing their homework the same way.

Crum, a 6-foot-7, 315-pound Laramie product, was undrafted after spending five seasons at the University of Wyoming. The 25-year-old was active for six games last fall, his rookie campaign, logging 33 total snaps -- 24 of which came on special teams -- on the Broncos' front five.

Crum is currently listed as the third option at the tackle spot, left or right, behind Garett Bolles and Mike McGlinchey.

“We’re lucky to have Frank Crum in our building, that’s for sure,” McGlinchey told the local media. “And the depth that he provides and the push that he provides all of us goes a long way.”

University of Wyoming’s Top 50 Football Players

During the summer of 2021, 7220Sports.com counted down the Top 50 football players in University of Wyoming history, presented by Premier Bone & Joint Centers, Worthy of Wyoming.

The rules are simple: What was the player's impact while in Laramie? That means NFL stats, draft status or any other accolade earned outside of UW is irrelevant when it comes to this list.

This isn't a one-man job. This task called for a panel of experts. Joining 7220's Cody Tucker are Robert GagliardiJared NewlandRyan Thorburn, and Kevin McKinney.

We all compiled our own list of 50 and let computer averages do the work. Think BCS -- only we hope this catalog is fairer.
